THE OLD STABLES COTTAGE

Major refurbishment recently completed

Exterior

After a major refurbishment the Old Stables cottage is now a considerably larger cottage than previously, with the addition of an open plan kitchen/dining conservatory. There are two bedrooms, a double and a twin, a large lounge, hallway with cupboards and a bathroom with a large double shower.

Interior

The cottage has been designed with dogs and their owners in mind.  It is easy to clean with tiled floors and rugs throughout.  There are throws for the settees and also for the beds.  There is lots of space throughout the cottage for dog beds and an ample supply of dog towels and dog bowls.

The cottage has lots of cupboard and wardrobe space and a very well stocked kitchen.  Beds are made up on arrival and bath, hand and tea towels are all provided.

Kitchen

There are lots of DVDs, videos, CDs and magazines.  The cottage also has a comprehensive book swap library. There is a TV, video and DVD in the lounge, a TV/video in the twin room, a CD/radio in the conservatory and a radio alarm clock in the double room.

Garden

Externally there is a front courtyard with seating and space to park a car.  To the side of the cottage is a large gravelled area with table and chairs which leads into an enclosed garden with post and rail fencing and chicken wire, so even small dogs should not be able to escape! There is a hosepipe in the garden and an outside tap at the rear of the cottage and also an outside tap with hosepipe outside the stables in the courtyard.

The cottage is a great year round destination.  It is lovely to sit out in the garden or on the patios in the summer, but in the winter, or when the weather is not so pleasant you can sit in the conservatory and look across the sea to Worm’s Head on the Gower.  The cottage is very warm now as it has had new LPG central heating installed and it has also been extremely well insulated.
